Described as the biggest first year party of the season, the Big Bash serves as the perfect opportunity for students to have one last dance before the reality of academics kicks in. It is an event that causes much excitement amongst the students and has been described as one of the most remembered events in Cape Town – drawing around 5000 students annually.

The last event was held at Kenilworth race course and the previous last three had been held at Ratanga Junction, but hopes to host its crowd at a new venue only to be revealed at a later stage. The Big Bash line-up has included top South African artists, including Goldfish, Prime Circle, AKing, the Dirty Skirts, Ready D, DJ Fresh and DJ Euphonik to name but a few. The event prepares to blow the city away on February 12th 2011.
