UCT RAG

The Orientation Week Program is a fun-filled week of events targeted at first year non-res students. The week provides first-year students with a great opportunity to meet new friends, enjoy Cape Town and feel more at home during the first few weeks on campus. At the same time the program is able to raise funds for RAG.

The O-week program is oversubscribed every year with approximately 400 students participating in the events. The week is jam-packed with events including a peninsula tour, a trip to Mzoli’s for the best braaied meat in town, ice skating and much more. Students on the programme get to participate in all O Week functions and ensures them a ticket into the biggest student party in Cape Town, the UCT RAG Big Bash.

The entire week’s entertainment is coordinated by a highly qualified team of RAG volunteers and judging by the popularity of this event with aspirant project managers, it leaves a lasting impression. Students are provided with transport from one event to another and supplied with everything necessary to have the best possible time, with the greatest care taken to ensure their safety and security during this roller coaster ride.
