UCT RAG

‘Applications have now opened! Launch Your Band, the highly successful initiative of 2007, is a battle of the bands type platform for up-and-coming artists and bands. The competition provides exposure to a huge student community, as well as at the prestigious Kirstenbosch Gardens concert.  

The winner of LYB 2008 will play the opening act of the annual RAG concert at Kirstenbosch Gardens on the 5th April 2008.

The LYB final will take place on Jammie Plaza, UCT, on the 13th March.

Send the following details to launchyourband@gmail.com:  Name of band, Contact details, Musical genre, Details of band members and a brief biography.

Please also drop off a 3 track CD at the UCT RAG office

Applications close on the 29th February. Auditions will take place on the 2nd March. The chosen finalists will then play on the 13th. The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges. Finalists are bound by certain terms and conditions’
