Every year RAG co-ordinates various student, public and corporate events that include everything from a flamboyant floats procession through the main roads of Rondebosch and Mowbray to a quiet evening of classical music under the Kirstenbosch stars.
Run entirely by students, RAG attempts to raise over R 1 million a year..
The organization consists of approximately 85 students who dedicate their spare time to organizing various student, public and corporate events throughout the year. Students involved in RAG gain valuable business experience and learn skills that will be vital to their future careers. Participation in RAG means involvement in:
- corporate relationships
- advanced correspondence
- public speaking
- marketing
- advertising
- desktop publishing
- budgeting
- report backs
At the heart of RAG is a dedicated team of volunteers who want to do something, no matter how small, to help make Cape Town a better place.
