UCT RAG 2011 Exec Application Form[1]

The time has come once again when UCT RAG, one of the most prominent student-run organizations of the university is recruiting members for the 2010/11 Executive Committee. UCT RAG aims to build leaders who are well equipped for the working environment within an African context. The skills we offer are acquired through leading a team and implementing projects that contribute to raising over R1 million for SHAWCO.

The UCT RAG calendar has consisted of 12 projects in the past, these include Graduation Wine, the UCT Student Diary, O-Week, SAX Appeal, the Big Bash, RAG Olympics, the traditional Floats Procession, the Fashion Week, Golf Day, RAG Rookies, RAG Media and Launch Your Band. All projects are run by Project Managers and facilitated by Steering Committee members.

The 85 year old RAG Legend has been continued proudly from year to year through the amount of time, the range of innovative ideas, and the amount of energy and passion invested into these projects by its effective leadership. Times aren’t always easy in the RAG world, but at the end of the day it’s all worth it.

Application forms are available from the UCT RAG Office, 5th Floor Steve Biko Building, UCT Upper Campus and online at www.uctrag.com from 4th May 2010. All applications for Chairperson and Vice-Chairs will close 7th May 2010.  Applications for all Project Manager will close in August. Interviews will follow shortly after applications are due.     I’m applying to study a Radiography at UCT next year, now i’m in grade 12. I love this job and interested on it, i wish oneday i’ll be a Radiographer. I’m doing maths and science.
